The Purchasing Supervisor oversees daily purchasing operations, procurement workflows, and material coordination across all markets. This role is responsible for supervising purchasing team members, managing operational priorities, developing and monitoring departmental KPIs, and ensuring timely and accurate procurement activities. This position plays a critical leadership role in maintaining consistent material flow, enforcing operational standards, driving process improvements, supporting inventory accuracy, and improving overall purchasing efficiency through data analysis, reporting, accountability, and team development.

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and support the purchasing team in daily operations.

  • Manage workloads to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

  • Track and maintain purchasing KPIs, productivity, backlog, vendor performance, and data accuracy.

  • Hold team members accountable to performance standards and SOP compliance.

  • Provide coaching, training, feedback, and performance support.

  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members.

  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Escalate staffing, performance, or operational issues to leadership.

Purchasing & Order Management

  • Oversee purchase order creation and management in ServiceTitan.

  • Source materials from approved suppliers while controlling costs.

  • Monitor inventory replenishment for warehouses and vehicles.

  • Manage Parts Special Orders (PSOs) to ensure timely fulfillment.

  • Prioritize urgent purchasing, replenishment, and field support requests.

  • Monitor purchasing queues, aging tasks, and unresolved issues.

  • Track shipments, deliveries, and order status updates.

  • Ensure receipts, deliveries, and PO closeouts are completed accurately.

  • Coordinate vehicle stock setup for new technicians.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Act as the main contact for suppliers regarding orders, pricing, and delivery issues.

  • Maintain strong vendor relationships through professional communication.

  • Support supplier evaluations for pricing, service, and performance.

  • Resolve purchasing and supplier-related issues with leadership support.

Reporting, Analysis & Operational Improvement

  • Analyze purchasing trends, vendor performance, and inventory activity.

  • Report KPI results, operational risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership.

  • Support data-driven decisions through accurate reporting and analysis.

  • Help maintain purchasing SOPs and operational standards.

  • Identify recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support goals related to inventory accuracy, efficiency, cost savings, and growth.

What You’ll Bring
  • 3–5 years of purchasing, inventory, supply chain, or procurement experience; trades, manufacturing, or distribution experience preferred.

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of purchasing workflows, inventory management, replenishment processes, and vendor coordination.

  • CRM/ERP system proficiency required (ServiceTitan preferred).

  • Strong Excel skills required.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across departments and vendors.

  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and operational accountability.
