As part of the Sword Services Greece team, you'll leverage your expert IT competency to drive critical projects, ensuring rapid, precise delivery that consistently meets, and often exceeds, the expectations of our global clients.


About the role...

We are looking for a Senior Scrum Master to act as the structural anchor for our "Sword Way of Working." You will be responsible for the health, efficiency, and continuous evolution of the delivery systems used by our engineering squads—whether those squads are focused on new delivery projects or ongoing operational support.

You will typically be assigned to two project teams simultaneously. Success requires seamless cooperation with the client’s Project Managers and Department Heads; while you focus on the systemic health and flow of the team, the Project Manager maintains the broader governance, and you collaborate with Heads to align delivery outcomes with strategic business objectives.

To ensure neutrality, you sit within an independent function, reporting directly to the Agile & Delivery Excellence Lead.


What You Will Do...

Built-in Quality & System Integrity

Coach teams to move away from "downstream inspection." Ensure quality is built-in via automated validation logic so that errors are caught at the point of origin, whether in a new project feature or an ITSM incident fix.

Empower the team to halt delivery when critical failures occur, facilitating an immediate "swarm" to resolve root causes and prevent technical debt from accumulating.

Champion adherence to technical standards—such as idempotency and version-controlled configuration—to ensure repeatable, error-free system states across all environments.

Flow Optimization & Waste Reduction

Leverage flow metrics (Cycle Time, Lead Time, MTTR, Throughput) to identify bottlenecks and enforce "finish over start" to optimize Work-in-Progress (WIP).

Systematically identify and strip away non-value-add activities, such as manual configuration hand-offs, redundant processes, or ambiguous access requirements.

Maintain transparent, real-time workflows that provide immediate visibility into system state, blockers, and resource imbalances.

Evolution of the "Sword Way of Working"

Serve as an active contributor to the definition, refinement, and documentation of the delivery standards that comprise our "Sword Way of Working".

Analyze cross-team patterns and retrospective outcomes to drive global improvements, ensuring the "Sword Way of Working" continuously adapts to evolving technical challenges.


What You Bring...

  • 5+ Years of Senior Scrum Mastery: Deep experience in high-complexity IT environments, including both new development and ITSM/Support contexts.
  • Methodology Versatility: You are "methodology agnostic." You have a deep toolkit and know how to extract the high-value pieces from Waterfall, Agile, and Scaled frameworks to solve real problems.
  • Independent Mindset: You are comfortable operating as an autonomous function, balancing the needs of the team with the requirements of project governance.
  • Systems Literacy: You understand the lifecycle of a technical asset from "Raw State" to "Optimized State."
  • The "Systems" Mindset: You focus on the process as much as the people, obsessed with making the technical production line run smoother, faster, and with higher quality.

  • Certifications: PSM II/III, Advanced CSM, SAFe Scrum Master
