We are looking for a highly skilled Freelance Tailoring Designer to elevate our tailoring category. This is a critical role, combining creative direction with deep technical expertise, helping to build strong foundations for future growth.
The Role
You will take ownership of the tailoring category on a freelance basis, with a particular focus on developing structure, consistency, and fit across the range.
Working closely with Technical, Buying and suppliers, you will bring a solutions-led, hands-on approach to product development, ensuring our tailoring is not only directional but built to perform.
This role goes beyond design aesthetic. We are looking for someone who understands tailoring at a structural and technical level, with the ability to build from the ground up.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing across blazers, trousers, co-ords and occasion tailoring
- Developing and implementing new tailoring blocks from scratch
- Leading and collaborating with technical teams to own and refine fit
- Driving consistency and quality across the tailoring category
- Working closely with Buying and suppliers to resolve fit and construction challenges
- Translating trends into commercial, wearable product aligned to the Warehouse customer
- Supporting development through supplier engagement and travel where required
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in womenswear tailoring design
- Strong pattern cutting knowledge (essential), including experience with digital pattern cutting and virtual fitting tools
- Demonstrated experience building blocks and leading fit across tailoring
- Ability to manage the end-to-end product lifecycle
- Commercially aware, with the ability to balance creativity and performance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Oversees travel required
