We’re looking for a Senior Financial Controller, to join our team in Munich, Germany.

 

As a Senior Financial Controller, you play a key role in safeguarding the financial integrity of the organisation and ensuring full compliance with applicable accounting standards. You will be responsible for overseeing core financial activities, delivering accurate and timely reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. Your role will span a broad range of responsibilities, contributing directly to financial transparency, operational efficiency, and the overall financial performance of the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in line with HGB/IFRS standards.
  • Develop short- and long-term financial forecasts and liquidity plans to support business performance and cash flow management.
  • Improve product contribution margin calculations and profitability analysis methodologies for deeper business insights.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and effective financial planning.
  • Assist in the development, monitoring, and analysis of annual budgets using historical data and industry trends.
  • Conduct performance analysis of customers, products, sales channels, and operational activities to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Deliver actionable financial insights and reports to support profitability improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Develop and manage import evaluation and inventory analysis frameworks, including cost, compliance, and stock optimization reviews.
  • Contribute to ad hoc finance projects, strategic planning sessions, and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
