What are your contributions to the team?
• Perform aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic simulations in support of new aircraft design studies and continued airworthiness of in‑service aircraft
• Use engineering judgment on selecting the appropriate methods, techniques, and tools in resolving complex issues
• Prepare and maintain finite element models to perform aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic analysis
• Maintain, develop and document methods and in‑house software
• Support and interact with other engineering disciplines, such as Advanced Design, Aerodynamics, Structures, Mass Properties, Flight Controls and Control Laws
• Support ground vibration testing (GVT) and flight flutter testing (FFT) and post‑process results
• Document analyses and findings in engineering certification reports and presentations (English)
How to thrive in this role?
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with Aerospace specialization. A high education would be an asset
• You have relevant experience in the aerospace industry
• You have some experience in aeroelasticity and aeroservoelasticity analyses
• You have a good understanding of aircraft structures, aerodynamics, control surface actuations and control laws
• You have experience with finite element models and analysis. Experience with Nastran is an asset
• You have experience with dynamic system stability and frequency response calculations
• You have experience programming in Matlab, Python, Fortran, or C/C++
• You are eligible to acquire Canadian Controlled Goods (CGD) clearance
• You have some knowledge of Airworthiness regulations
• You have good organizational skills in planning work activities and completing tasks within budget and on schedule, and can work under pressure
• You have good analytical thinking, problem solving, communication skills both written and spoken, in French and English
