Cutting Edge Music Tech - On-Demand Vinyl Records

We are seeking a M&E Installations Technician to help us revolutionise the physical and digital music industry. elasticStage is building the world’s first on-demand vinyl and CD platform, unlocking physical music for the Digital Creator era. By 2030, there will be over 250 million music creators globally, most locked out of physical formats due to high minimum runs and operational complexity. elasticStage solves this through patented on-demand vinyl and CD manufacturing technology, powering a free-to-use platform where creators can produce and sell physical releases worldwide with no upfront costs or minimum quantities.
And we are scaling fast:

  • 100,000+ creators are using the product within our first year of commercialisation.
  • Aiming for 20X growth by 2027.
  • Partnerships with SoundCloud and Amuse (with more major partners to come!).
  • Shipped to 79 countries.
  • 4.7★ on Trustpilot and Google.
  • Recently raised new funding, bringing the total capital raised to £30M.
  • Just moved to a new office in Kings Cross.

We are looking for an M&E Installations Technician to build, wire, and commission our proprietary production machines at our manufacturing site. Each installation unit consists of a set of machines configured around a collaborative robot arm. This is a permanent, site-based, hands-on role. The work is highly repetitive and precision-focused, requiring consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot methodically when issues arise.

Join us as we scale a new generation of automated production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical assembly and installation of proprietary production machines according to build documentation and procedures.
  • Mechanical commissioning and quality checks at each stage of the installation.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supporting commissioning documentation.
  • Installation and commissioning of vacuum and compressed air systems within each installation unit.
  • All electrical cabling for production unit installations: power, control, and signal wiring per installation documentation.
  • Electrical commissioning and testing of all unit components.
  • Leading the electrical utilities scope: on-site power distribution, electrical infrastructure coordination with facilities and third-party contractors.
  • Ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and local regulations.
  • Identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues during build and commissioning.
  • Maintaining accurate as-built records, installation logs, and flagging deviations from standard.
  • Supporting integrated commissioning alongside the installations manager and wider team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of installation procedures, tooling, and installation cycle time as production scales.
  • Maintain organised, safe, and clean work areas, tools, and equipment.
