In this role you will be responsible in supporting both in-place and in-cloud technologies & technology users via defined procedures. The position reports to an IT manager and is part of a team that supports both the voice and data networks for various corporate business functions.

Responsibilities

  • Offers technical guidance in managing the company's data and voice networks.
  • Installs, maintains, and provides support for local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), telephone systems, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Installs, supports, and maintains tools for network management, monitoring, and security.
  • Conducts technical analyses of software, hardware, and transmission systems utilizing various diagnostic tools to ensure efficient network operations.
  • Observes, evaluates, and resolves issues within network and telecom environments to eliminate faults and guarantee high-quality transmission.
  • Engages with third-party service providers and IT vendors.
  • Creates and maintains documentation pertinent to the network environment.
  • Collaborates with other IT specialists (such as the security team, server team, Helpdesk, etc.) on complex projects.
  • Participates in team and project meetings as necessary.
  • Gains insight into the general industry standard usage of supported technologies.
  • Develops a basic understanding of business processes and how they rely on supported technologies.
  • Fosters relationships within the IT department and with clients to enhance collaboration and teamwork essential for achieving organizational goals.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned, with or without accommodations.
  • Works within a team environment that involves frequent use of PCs and collaborative tools.
  • Physical installation and relocation of network devices and associated hardware are required.
