An excellent opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to deliver high‑quality temporary and permanent works design across a varied portfolio of projects. You will take responsibility for planning and executing design work, coordinating with client design teams and internal engineering colleagues to ensure all requirements are met.

This role suits an experienced engineer who enjoys hands‑on design delivery, technical problem‑solving, and supporting the development of junior engineers while maintaining strong commercial awareness.

  • Plan and manage design tasks across multiple schemes, liaising with client design teams and internal staff.
  • Review and check calculations, drawings, and design solutions prepared by others.
  • Develop and verify standard solutions, spreadsheets, and tools to support efficient design delivery.
  • Present cost effective solutions and viable alternatives where appropriate.
  • Undertake site visits, surveys, and inspections as required
  • Prepare fixed‑price fee proposals based on client information, clearly stating all exclusions.
  • Attend design meetings as required.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to junior staff when requested.
  • Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, identifying opportunities for future work.
