AnthroMed Education is a growing community of Speech-Language Pathologists dedicated to helping students receive the communication services they deserve while ensuring clinicians feel supported in their careers.
We are currently hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in Ellicott City Schools for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a blended high school caseload, including students with a wide range of communication needs and students with severe to profound communication impairments within life skills programming. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborative environments and has experience supporting students with Autism and AAC systems.
Position Details
Location: Ellicott City, MD
Grade Levels: 9th–12th Grade
Caseload: Approximately 35 students
This school utilizes a weighted caseload model, helping account for students who require increased service minutes, meetings, and additional support. This approach promotes more balanced workloads and better clinician support.
You’ll work alongside collaborative special education and related services teams while serving students with diverse communication profiles in a meaningful high school setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to high school students with varying communication needs
- Support students with mild to severe communication disorders, including students in autism and life skills programs
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain required documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, special educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize and support AAC systems when appropriate
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based problem-solving teams
- Deliver services aligned with district and state guidelines

Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Active Maryland Department of Health (MD DOH) Speech-Language Pathologist License or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Ability to work onsite in a school setting
Preferred:
- Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder populations
- Experience utilizing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems
- Prior school-based experience preferred
- Experience supporting students with significant communication impairments or life skills programming
