Position Summary

Cylinder Health is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our commercial team, sitting within marketing and working in close partnership with sales.

This role is responsible for generating pipeline through outbound prospecting while serving as a key bridge between Marketing and Sales. You will prospect into and engage HR and benefits leaders at large employers, along with benefits consultants and health plan partners, to create new opportunities and provide real-time feedback on messaging and market response.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generate pipeline: Identify, prospect, and engage HR and benefits leaders at large employers, along with benefits consultants and health plan and channel partners

  • Navigate complex buying groups: Engage multiple stakeholders across employers, consultants, and partners to generate aligned opportunities

  • Execute outbound: Run coordinated outreach across email, phone, and social channels to drive meetings and new opportunities.

  • Qualify opportunities: Assess and qualify leads to ensure alignment with Cylinder Health's target audience and sales strategy.

  • Partner with sales: Work closely with RVPs to align on target accounts, messaging, and meeting strategy

  • Collaborate with marketing: Provide feedback on campaigns, messaging, and audience targeting based on real prospect interactions

  • Activate campaigns: Execute outbound tied to marketing campaigns, events, and priority accounts

  • Maintain pipeline hygiene: Track activity, manage data, and ensure accuracy in Salesforce

  • Hit performance targets: Meet or exceed monthly goals for qualified opportunities created, outbound activity, and pipeline contribution

  • Leverage tools effectively: Use Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Sales Engagement to build lists, execute outreach, and maintain clean data

  • Growth & Development: Continuously build product, market, and sales skills through training and hands-on experience. Stay current on industry trends, buyer needs, and competitive landscape

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of SDR, BDR, or sales experience

  • Experience with outbound prospecting and pipeline generation

  • Experience prospecting into HR leaders, benefits leaders, consultants, or health plans strongly preferred

  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
