Paramount Place Retirement Village is our brand-new retirement community in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, designed to bring people together through exceptional living, wellbeing, and hospitality. We are seeking an Administrator / Receptionist to join our growing team in a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, working any 5 days over 7, with shifts scheduled between 8am and 8pm.

This is an exciting opportunity to be the face of our vibrant community - supporting not only our residents, but also members of the wider local community who will enjoy our restaurant and facilities.

The Role

As the first point of contact for residents, visitors, guests, and the public, you will provide a warm welcome and professional administrative support across the village.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and directing residents, visitors, and members of the public with professionalism and warmth
  • Managing the telephone system and supporting day-to-day reception operations
  • Booking meeting rooms, guest suites, restaurant reservations, and parking
  • Maintaining site directories and ensuring front-of-house presentation remains exceptional
  • Supporting fire and emergency procedures as a designated first responder
  • Assisting with general administrative duties and payroll support for the General Manager
  • Helping create a friendly, community-focused atmosphere throughout the village

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a receptionist, administration, or customer service role (1–3 years preferred)
  • Is highly organised, approachable, and confident communicating with a wide range of people
  • Thrives in a team-oriented, customer-focused environment
  • Is comfortable using IT systems and handling confidential information sensitively
  • Enjoys being part of a brand-new community and helping shape an exceptional resident experience
