Welcome to The Eliott, Gibraltar’s finest hotel. We are now looking for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the smooth running of our housekeeping operations—someone who leads by example, maintains exceptional cleanliness standards, and helps deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will support the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the housekeeping department, coordinating team activities, and ensuring all rooms and public areas meet the highest standards. With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and attention to detail, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.

Your Role as Assistant Housekeeping Manager:

  • Support the day-to-day running of the housekeeping department

  • Supervise, train, and motivate the housekeeping team to maintain exceptional standards

  • Conduct room and public area inspections to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and compliance

  • Assist with team scheduling, stock control, and inventory management

  • Work closely with external service providers and ensure service quality is maintained

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards across the hotel

  • Assist in managing departmental costs and improving operational efficiency

  • Support in driving continuous improvement in service delivery and guest satisfaction

  • Bring strong organisation, attention to detail, and leadership support to a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure

  • A proactive and responsible approach with a willingness to take ownership

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, ideally in a supervisory role

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • High attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness and presentation

  • A solution-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
