Reporting directly to the Depot Team Leader, as a Delivery Vehicle Driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials to designated locations. The role involves operating various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws, maintaining the vehicle in good condition, and providing excellent customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Driving and Navigation

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Operate vehicle to transport goods to a specified destinations in line with schedules聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Follow planned routes and adhere to schedules

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Use navigation systems to optimise travel routes and avoid traffic delays.

Safety and Compliance

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Adhere to all road safety and traffic regulations and always drive the vehicle in line with statutory and legislative regulations.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance or delivery issues in a timely fashion.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Ensure the safety of passengers and goods during transit.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Ensure the Health and Safety of you and others by carrying out all activities in a manner that promotes safety.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Accurate loading, unloading and delivering orders to customers OTIF.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Ensure products are packed safely and secured with straps etc, so as not to be damaged in transit.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Use driving App and ensure compliance to all required driving standards and maintain compliance with telematics and driving rules.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Heavy lifting, moving, protecting, wrapping, and managing all products with all due care and attention.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Use equipment respectfully, safely and as trained including vehicles, phones, computers.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Use phones for work matters only and when legally safe to do so.

Vehicle Maintenance聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, water, tyres and lights.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained and smoke free; smoking is not permitted in vehicles.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Inform the Depot Team Leader of any servicing requirements and repairs.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Report any issues, vehicle defects or delivery problems daily in a timely fashion.

Documentation and record keeping

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Accurately checking and verifying all stock is correct on your vehicle for each all orders.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption and any incidents or accidents.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Complete delivery or transport paperwork and obtain necessary signatures.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Receipt and despatch all orders accurately and securely in line with Leader鈥檚 SOP鈥檚.

Customer service聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Provide a courteous and professional service to customers at all times.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Always show dignity and respect with customers, colleagues, drivers and visitors.

Company objectives

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Supporting all other areas of the business as and when required including working in the warehouse.
