Monk is an AI-native accounts receivable platform for B2B companies. We automate billing, collections, and payments so finance teams can turn outstanding invoices into cash, faster.

We are looking for a customer-obsessed engineer to be the technical face of our platform. Someone who can go deep on a customer's billing infrastructure, propose the right solution, and own go-live. We do not care about your education, age, or past titles. All that matters is whether you can earn trust with customers and ship what they need.

 

What you will do

  • Lead technical discovery with customers across billing, payments, collections, and revenue operations, internal data systems

  • Own go-live with the customer and Monk team; debug production issues, make tradeoffs, and keep momentum through ambiguous requirements

  • Build what you need to unblock yourself and the customer

  • Be the connective tissue between Sales, Ops, and Engineering through go-live. You keep deals from stalling

  • Represent the voice of the customer to our engineering team. Turn patterns you see on the ground into product roadmap input

  • Take ownership of the onboarding product itself, not just individual engagements. Make implementations faster and more reliable at scale

 

You might excel if you

  • Are an engineer who builds for customers

  • Advanced in at least one modern programming language (we use primarily Typescript)

  • Are an owner. You do not wait to be unblocked. You unblock others

  • Are curious about finance and how companies manage billing and revenue. You want to quickly become the expert in the room

  • Have worked at an early-stage startup or in a role where you operated well beyond your JD

  • Excited to build in person in Flatiron, NYC
