Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Commercial Finance Manager – EMEA, you play a critical leadership role in driving the financial performance and strategic growth of the region across all commercial channels: B2B, Digital Commerce, and Retail. Partnering closely with the Director, Finance – EMEA, and cross-functional commercial leadership teams, you will own the end-to-end P&L management, delivering actionable insights that drive profitable growth cross-channel.
In this role, you will lead forecasting, planning, and performance analysis across channels, ensuring financial discipline while enabling strategic decision-making. You will translate business performance into clear financial narratives, identify risks and opportunities, and influence commercial strategies through data-driven insights.
This role is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Candidates must be eligible to work in the country and, within EMEA.

The Finance team at Arc’teryx is responsible for providing leadership with the information they need to review past performance, understand business trends, and anticipate future profitability and financial position. Through review of historic financials, variance analysis and KPI tracking, finance advises leadership on key investment decisions and drives performance improvement.
If you were the Manager, Commercial Finance - EMEA role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Own and manage the end-to-end P&L across B2B, E-commerce, and Retail channels, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and performance visibility
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes, incorporating channel-specific drivers and assumptions
- Partner with Commercial, Merchandising, and Channel leaders to evaluate performance, pricing, markdowns, and investment decisions
- Deliver robust financial analysis and insights on sales, gross margin, inventory, and operating expenses across channels, partnering closely with HQ team to align global and regional views
- Monitor and analyze channel KPIs (sell-through, traffic, conversion, AOV, wholesale performance) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Support and challenge business cases for new store openings, e-commerce investments, and wholesale partnerships
- Lead variance analysis vs. plan/forecast/prior year and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Ensure alignment of financial targets with commercial strategy and drive accountability for performance delivery
- Collaborate with Accounting and Shared Services to ensure accurate and timely financial close processes
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and financial models to improve decision-making and efficiency
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systems across EMEA
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and strategic support to senior leadership
Are you our next Manager, Commercial Finance – EMEA?
- You have 6–10+ years of experience in Finance, with strong exposure to commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering, ideally within retail, consumer goods, or a multi-channel environment
- You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; a CPA, CA, CMA, or MBA is an asset
- You have strong experience in P&L management and commercial performance analysis across multiple channels
- You demonstrate advanced analytical and financial modelling skills with deep understanding of financial statements and value drivers
- You have experience working in a global, matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders
- You are a strong business partner, able to influence decision-making and challenge stakeholders constructively
- You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complexity, and can translate data into clear insights
- You can prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet tight deadlines
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial topics
- You are proficient with BI tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Power BI)
- You are proactive, solutions-oriented, and continuously seek improvements
