The Destinus engineering team is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of mechanisms, safety devices, pyrotechnic assemblies, and propulsion systems. The role is hands-on across both mechanical and electrical domains and requires precision workmanship, solid documentation habits, and comfort working with energetic and hazardous materials in a safety-critical environment.

The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, is equally comfortable with a torque wrench and a soldering iron and understands that quality in this environment comes from process discipline, rigorous adherence to safety procedures, and meticulous documentation.

What You'll Do

• Assemble and integrate mechanical and electrical components for mechanisms, safety devices, pyrotechnic assemblies, and propulsion systems.

• Install and solder wiring harnesses, sensors, initiators, and electronics to aerospace-grade standards.

• Perform quality checks and functional tests on assemblies, verifying conformance to engineering specifications.

• Handle energetic and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable safety protocols, permits, and operating procedures.

• Write, maintain, and follow SOPs for assembly, integration, and testing operations, ensuring safety and repeatability at every step.

• Conduct mechanical testing and validation, recording results accurately and flagging non-conformances.

• Support troubleshooting and corrective actions in collaboration with engineering and QA teams.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly workflows while maintaining compliance with safety and quality requirements.
