Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Stripe Dashboard helps millions of people around the world run their business — from managing integrations and analyzing fraud to resolving customer issues. The next chapter is about transforming the Dashboard into a “power tool” for payment professionals. The Dashboard team is responsible for the scaffolding of the Dashboard (e.g. navigation, search, settings), governing frameworks (e.g. information architecture), and core experiences that set the standard (e.g. managing your customers, customizing your home page).

We’re hiring a product manager to shape the Dashboard strategy, amplify its impact across the company, and accelerate Stripe’s mission to increase the GDP of the internet.

What you’ll do

You will evolve the Dashboard to meet the needs of any business model. Improve wayfinding mechanisms to increase user productivity and product discovery. Shape the information architecture to encourage interoperability. Develop a strategy and roadmap for a more personalized Dashboard. Write the playbook for interoperability across the numerous layers of indirection in the Dashboard. Partner with third-party developers to understand how the Dashboard can better serve their needs

Responsibilities

  • Make the Dashboard easier to use and more powerful
  • Own the strategy and roadmap that makes the Dashboard uniquely good for any business model
  • Collaborate with engineering and design across time zones (PST, EST, CET)  to ship high impact functionality that delights users, product teams, and third-party developers
  • Define and track success metrics for quality and performance
  • Partner with senior leadership to understand and uphold our ambitions for quality at scale
Who you are

This role is equal parts systems thinking, storytelling, and data science. You thrive in horizontal roles that require intense collaboration and influence across product teams to achieve very difficult changes.

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, design, or engineering with at least 3+ years in senior capacity making company-level product decisions
  • Strong understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles and best practices
  • Technical familiarity with personalization systems, data modeling, and machine learning
  • Strong written and verbal communication across business, design, and engineering audiences
  • Demonstrated experience leading company-wide initiatives influencing technical roadmaps

Preferred qualifications

  • Believe that fast software is the best software
  • Built complex personalization systems in the past
  • Developed governance frameworks that balance usage and discovery
  • Strong (informed) point of view on how third-party apps fit into first-party experiences
  • Enjoy using social media to interact directly with customers for feedback
