We are seeking a passionate Student Assistant to join our team and support commercial finance activities for International Markets. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain and Trade Operations, supporting forecasting, reporting and financial analysis across multiple geographies.
You will help ensure good data quality, support recurring finance processes and contribute to analyses used in decision-making, while learning how Finance partners with commercial and operational teams in a global biotech setup.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with financial planning, reporting and analysis in an international biotech company. You will work with business data, strengthen your analytical skills, and learn how Finance supports decision-making across functions and international markets.
You will be joining the Business Finance team and report directly to Juste Sapaliene, Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner - International Markets. You will be based in Hellerup.
Your key responsibilities
50% of your work will consist of recurring tasks in Financial Planning & Analysis, such as:
- Support the quarterly Latest Estimate (LE) process, including preparation and updates to financial models, consolidation of inputs, presentations
- Assist with price, volume, variance and inventory analysis
- Support OPEX planning by helping update forecast models and prepare follow-up materials
- Support cross-functional alignment in Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Trade Operations of financial data and assumptions during reporting and forecasting cycles
30% of your work will consist of recurring tasks in Systems & Improvements, such as:
- Support system uploads and data checks, with focus on accuracy and consistency
- Help update recurring monthly reporting files and templates
- Help improve and simplify existing templates, reports and ways of working
- Support automation and efficiency initiatives using Excel, Power BI and other tools
20% of your work will consist of recurring tasks in Financial Management, such as:
- Assist with monthly financial controlling activities, including project cost and purchase order reviews, tracking of accruals
- Support follow-up with budget and project owners
- Help prepare and update monthly and quarterly P&L landing estimates
Qualifications and Skills:
You are currently enrolled in an academic program, preferably about to begin your Master’s degree within Finance, Business, Economics or similar.
Familiarity with Power BI or financial planning tools is an advantage.
Furthermore, you:
- Have strong Excel skills and an interest in working with financial models and datasets
- Enjoy working with numbers and structured information
- Are detail-oriented and care about accuracy and quality
- Are comfortable working with recurring monthly and quarterly deadlines
- Are motivated to learn, ask questions and develop your finance and analytical skills
- Have a proactive mindset and like improving how things are done
- Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
