Tech Lead — Corporate Finance
Bespoke Labs | Contract | 35-40 hrs/week

About Bespoke Lab

At Bespoke Labs.AI, we’re building immersive digital worlds where intelligent agents learn, reason, and evolve. We design large-scale AI environments and production-grade systems that directly shape how next-generation models are trained, not tooling around AI, but the systems that power it. Our work has driven foundational datasets like OpenThoughts and state-of-the-art models such as Bespoke-MiniCheck and Bespoke-MiniChart

About the Role
Bespoke Labs is hiring a Tech Lead to own the corporate finance function end-to-end — sourcing capital, structuring investment decisions, and maximizing shareholder value through short- and long-term financial planning. You’ll lead a small team across capital budgeting, capital financing, working capital, accounting, taxation, and dividend decisions, and you’ll be the trusted partner to the CFO, Controller, and Treasury

Scope: Three Pillars of Corporate Finance

  • Capital budgeting — prioritize funds toward the most profitable projects; NPV, IRR, and payback analysis; estimate future cash flows and compare planned investments to potential proceeds.

  • Capital financing — balance debt vs. equity; manage bank borrowings, debt issuance, equity rounds, WACC, and covenants — minimizing default risk without diluting early investors.

  • Working capital management — ensure short-term liquidity for operations; cash forecasting, AR/AP, FX, credit lines, and commercial paper backups.

What You’ll Lead

  • Set strategy across the three corporate finance pillars; own the annual plan and quarterly re-forecasts.

  • Lead capital allocation decisions: which projects clear the WACC hurdle, which get funded, and at what size.

  • Partner with Treasury to manage liquidity, banking relationships, FX exposure, and short-term funding backups.

  • Own monthly close, financial statements, board reporting, variance commentary, and taxation workflows.

  • Recommend dividend, buyback, and other shareholder-return decisions to the CFO and board.

  • Lead and mentor a small team (3–5); set hiring bar, run reviews, and partner across the company.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6–12 years in corporate finance, FP&A, treasury, or investment banking; 2+ years leading a team.

  • Deep fluency in the three pillars: capital budgeting (NPV/IRR), capital structure (WACC, debt/equity), and working capital.

  • Comfortable reading and building three-statement models; strong with Excel, SQL, and modern FP&A tools (Anaplan, Pigment, Mosaic, Cube, or equivalent).

  • Track record operating in an audit-ready environment (SOX, SOC 2, or comparable controls).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; the kind of finance leader executives actually want in the room.

    Our Commitment

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe that diverse perspectives drive innovation, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive workplace for everyone. Reasonable accommodations are available throughout the hiring process upon request. All applicant data is handled with the utmost care, in full compliance with applicable privacy laws and our internal data policies.
