We want you to #JOINTHEREBELLION!

For 30 years we’ve been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We are seeking a Technical Pipeline Artist to help refine, enhance and innovate the development pipelines that power our projects - this is your chance to join a studio famous for the Sniper Elite series, and fresh off the success of Atomfall, our biggest game launch to date.

In your role as a Technical Pipeline Artist you will dive into learning and evaluating our existing game development pipelines, with an aim to improve the efficiency and quality of our work. You will work with artists and programmers, to review creative processes and identify opportunities for improvements to ensure our games are progressive and in line with the direction of industry standards. This is a real opportunity to influence the technical art of Rebellion’s future projects and collaborate with our internal Machine Learning department on cutting edge development tools.

A large part of this role will involve machine learning and AI. Rebellion is exploring the power of these tools to improve our development processes, we're doing so with an ethical approach and commitment to responsible AI development, with a goal of facilitating the creativity of our artists, not replacing it.

This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success. We can provide a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition to your new environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve existing art workflows and practices
  • Help with the development and implementation of AI/ML powered processes in an ethical manner
  • Identify inefficiencies in the art creation workflows and propose solutions.
  • Design and implement new pipeline and optimisation tools to aide content creation.
  • Guide artists in learning new and best practices in content creation and optimisation.
  • Communicate pipeline improvements and tool adoption to key stakeholders.
  • Author and improve technical documentation and tutorials around our tools.
  • Proactively gather knowledge of new and up and coming tools or software, including within the ML and AI spaces.
