About the Role

It is a full-time paid 10 - 12 weeks summer internship programme between June and August 2026.

We are looking for a motivated university student to join the APAC Technology team for the summer. This is a hands-on internship where you will contribute to real, live technology and AI initiatives across the APAC region — not just shadowing, but actively participating in project delivery, documentation, and problem-solving.

You will work closely with technologists, business analysts, and stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Compliance, and IT to support technology projects that make a tangible difference to the business.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Innovation Support

  • Assist in researching, evaluating, and documenting AI use cases raised by APAC business teams

  • Support the translation of business ideas into structured AI project proposals, including scoping, requirements capture, and feasibility notes

Project & Delivery Support

  • Assist Project Managers and Business Analysts in tracking project milestones, dependencies, and status updates across active APAC technology initiatives

  • Help maintain project documentation including BRDs (Business Requirements Documents), process flows, meeting minutes, and status reports

  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) coordination — logging test cases, tracking defects, and following up on sign-offs

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Create and maintain clear, well-structured technical and functional documentation for both new and existing systems

  • Organise and maintain team Confluence pages, trackers, and shared documentation repositories

Incident & Issue Management Support

  • Assist in logging, tracking, and following up on technology incidents and service requests

  • Help monitor ticket queues, escalate issues where appropriate, and prepare incident summary reports

  • Support root-cause analysis write-ups and lessons learned documentation

Stakeholder & Communication Support

  • Help prepare presentation decks, dashboards, and updates for team meetings and stakeholder reviews

  • Assist with coordination across APAC offices (Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Shanghai) and Global Technology teams in the US, EMEA and EA.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business (with a technology focus), Finance Technology, or a related field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with SharePoint is a plus

  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and an ability to organise information clearly

  • Eager to learn, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment

  • Exposure to Python, SQL, or any programming/scripting language (academic projects count)

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, large language models, or data analytics tools

  • Basic understanding of financial markets, asset management, or investment products

  • Prior internship or part-time experience in a financial services or technology environment
