Role Purpose
Biffa Specialist Services Industrial delivers tailored waste solutions for businesses with complex requirements. We provide hazardous waste management, industrial cleaning, and specialist logistics services to customers across the UK, supporting a wide range of industries.
We are looking for an experienced Regional Driver Development Coach to play a critical role in ensuring our drivers operate safely, compliantly, and efficiently across our diverse divisional fleet.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role, ideal for someone passionate about developing drivers, improving standards, and making a measurable impact on safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Support the hiring process with pre-employment assessments and deliver a comprehensive 3-day Driver Induction aligned with standards and legislation.
- Ongoing Driver Training: Provide regular refresher and additional mode training to enhance driver skills and customer experience.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate driver competence and training records using Express Class.
- Post-Incident Support: Offer reassessment and retraining for drivers following incidents.
- Driving Performance Reviews: Regularly analyse driving data with management to identify and address support needs.
- Behavioural Interventions: Conduct targeted support for drivers requiring improvements in actions or behaviours.
- Continuous Improvement and Development: Enhance training delivery, optimise driver learning, and pursue personal professional development.
