About The Role
Valinor Harbor is seeking a Construction Operations Technician to support both field construction activities and day-to-day office operations for a growing technology company. This is a hands-on, flexible role for someone who is organized, resourceful, and comfortable shifting between shop/field work and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and capable of handling a wide variety of tasks — from basic construction work and project support to vendor coordination, sourcing materials, compliance assistance, and general office administration. This role offers opportunities to grow into crew coordination and day-to-day project management responsibilities.
What You'll Do
Construction & Field Support
Perform hands-on construction and top-out work including wall panels, painting, electrical assistance, installation, and general project support
Assist with framing, finishing, caulking, sealing, and hardware and fixture installation
Assist fabrication and production teams with project assembly
Maintain clean and organized job sites, shop areas, and tools
Support loading/unloading materials and inventory organization
Assist with field problem-solving and project punch list tasks
Operations & Administrative Support
Assist with operational and administrative tasks including sourcing materials, coordinating vendors, tracking orders, and supporting compliance documentation
Contact vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
Help organize project documentation, drawings, and permit and inspection paperwork
Support scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and deliveries
Perform general office and administrative duties as needed
Assist leadership with miscellaneous operational tasks and project support
Cross-Functional
Help maintain organized workflows across shop, field, and office environments while supporting custom fabrication and modular construction projects
Grow into a role capable of coordinating small crews, overseeing finish quality, and helping manage day-to-day project execution
What We're Looking For
General construction experience preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working in both office and active shop/jobsite environments
Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
Basic computer proficiency including Outlook and Excel
Basic electrical, framing, wall paneling, or painting experience a plus
Experience sourcing materials or working with vendors/suppliers a plus
Forklift experience, OSHA or construction safety training is a plus
Valid driver's license preferred
