This role is a Hybrid Role: Employees are expected to work from our Cornellà de Llobregat (Barcelona) office 3 days per week and may work remotely the remaining days
Overview:
- We are looking for an EMEA Tax Specialist to join our multi country team. The role covers responsibility for Indirect Tax (VAT / Customs / Excise) for EMEA countries (Spain, Portugal, France, UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, etc).
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of Indirect Tax Returns across Europe in cooperation with external and internal counter parties.
- Ensure quality of VAT Returns and identify issues and opportunities to continuously improve the VAT compliance process.
- Monthly review and reconciliate of all VAT accounts.
- Support for Internal and External Audits.
- Reconciliation of the Turnover against VAT bases and explanation of the difference.
- Participation on projects to cover VAT implications.
- Managing Internal controls over Indirect Processes.

- Proactive, well organized, fast learning, positive, team player but autonomous.
- Personality to work on business cases with multidisciplinary complexity.
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
- Able to identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Law or Economics, Bachelor’s in Business Administration or similar degree.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- Good French, Italian or German is valuable.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Solid Indirect Taxes knowledge paired with sound finance know-how Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Experience working in an International company/Big4/ Shared Service Center.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
