Full-stack Engineer

Monk is an AI-native accounts receivable platform for B2B companies. We automate billing, collections, and payments so finance teams can turn outstanding invoices into cash, faster.

We believe the AR stack is broken and the finance function deserves much better. We are bringing AI, speed, and real craftsmanship to a space that has been ignored for too long.

We are looking for a hungry, high-potential engineer to join us in NYC in person. We do not care about your education, age, or past titles. All that matters is your heart and whether you can ship faster than us.

What you will do

• Build and ship full-stack features end-to-end: database schema, API, UI. You will write production code from day one

• Contribute to core systems: billing engines, payment integrations, collections workflows, and AI agents

• Work shoulder to shoulder with customers and with the team

• Build with AI as a core part of how you work, not as an afterthought

• Get maximum autonomy and freedom to do your life’s best work

   

Who you are

• 0-4 years of production-level experience shipping code, or equivalent depth from personal projects and open-source work

• Solid TypeScript skills across backend and frontend, with a desire to go deeper

• Exposure to modern web infrastructure: Next.js, Vercel, Supabase, or comparable tools

• Owner. Nothing is not your responsibility. You take initiative and take pride in your solutions

• Extreme drive and desire to win

• AI-native. You default to using AI to move faster. You see it as a multiplier, not a novelty

• Excited to build in person in Flatiron, NYC

• Thrive in fast-moving and ambiguous environments

• Bonus if you are: (1) ex-founder or founding engineer, (2) dropout, (3) shipped SaaS before, (4) world-class in a domain (coding, gaming, athletics, poker), (5) builder at heart since high school
