About the Role
The Lead Dispensary Manager is the most senior employee at the dispensary location and is responsible for the overall operational success, compliance, integrity, and team performance of the store.
This role oversees the Dispensary Associate team, Key Holders, and Assistant Dispensary Managers (ADMs). The Lead Dispensary Manager is responsible for driving Restore Dispensaries' goals, including fostering a culture of positivity, accountability, and productivity.
This position serves as the primary liaison to the Operations Management Team and reports directly to the Senior Dispensary Operations Manager and the Director of Operations. This is a full-time leadership position requiring availability to work a flexible and rotating schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Set or fixed schedules are not available for this role.
Previous dispensary management experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of hourly and salaried employees
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing strategy, and workforce planning
  • Manage employee relations, coaching, and performance accountability
  • Foster a positive, productive, and solutions-oriented store culture
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Review, maintain, and update all Restore Dispensaries SOPs
  • Ensure updated SOPs are communicated effectively to all employees
  • Ensure audit readiness for scheduled and unscheduled DOH and state inspections
  • Oversee medication dispensing procedures in compliance with DOH and state regulations
  • Ensure reportable events are submitted promptly and accurately
  • Maintain accurate documentation and recordkeeping standards
  • Inventory & Cash Management
  • Oversee pre-packaged inventory management and vault-to-floor product movement
  • Ensure nightly and monthly audits are conducted accurately across departments
  • Coordinate closely with the Inventory Specialist to maintain strict inventory controls
  • Oversee all cash management procedures, including POS accuracy, opening/closing reports, deposits, and reconciliations
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure smooth store operations
  • Act as the operational bridge between the dispensary and corporate leadership
  • Ensure all team members are trained and assessed for compliance with SOPs

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of responsible retail experience
  • 2–4 years of retail management experience (cannabis industry experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of medical marijuana products and patient education
  • Experience in inventory management and reconciliation
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lift, bend, twist, stand, and walk as required for daily operations
  • Flexibility to work opening, closing, weekends, and holidays
