What you'll do:
- National product leadership: Own the SEA freight product nationally, delivering volume, tradelane, and development targets.
- Process implementation: Ensure full compliance with product procedures and roll out new solutions across the country.
- Operational excellence: Set up and maintain the national operating model; support continuous improvement with Regional Operations.
- Team capability: Keep operational teams up‑to‑date on product knowledge and deliver training when required.
- Expert guidance: Act as national SME, sharing insights with operations, sales, and leadership, and representing the company with customers.
- Budget contribution: Support annual budgeting and help achieve national product KPIs and financial targets.
- Strategic selling: Lead selected strategic sales activities and support acquisition of new customers.
- Solution design: Contribute to solution design for national accounts and oversee their implementation.
- Sales enablement: Ensure sales teams receive regular product updates and training in cooperation with DBD and TQM.
- Cross‑selling: Drive cross‑selling with other products and support similar initiatives for SEA freight customers.
- Carrier procurement: Manage national procurement in line with corporate standards, including space, volume, and rebate negotiations.
- Rate management: Ensure buying rates reflect market benchmarks and selling rates remain competitive and compliant.
- Tariff adherence: Implement and enforce local tariffs, profit‑share rules, and provide timely door‑to‑door pricing for tenders.
- KPI oversight: Monitor revenue, margin, costs, volumes, tradelanes, IV development, and tender success; drive corrective actions.
- Profitability control: Track national product profitability and ensure improvement measures are executed.
- Compliance monitoring: Ensure legal, process, and routing compliance; reduce black routings with line management.
- Risk management: Oversee product‑related risks and support Legal in resolving financially or legally sensitive cases.
- Leadership reporting: Present product performance and outlook in national board meetings.
What you'll bring:
- SEA freight expertise: 10+ years in SEA freight, including product development, USP creation, and product launches.
- Carrier negotiation skills: Strong experience negotiating with carriers and maintaining key relationships.
- Key account capability: Proven track record in key account sales, development, and solution design.
- System proficiency: Solid MS Office skills and familiarity with operational systems (Alfresco, Jasper, SPOT).
- ADR knowledge: ADR‑trained with strong understanding of operational and compliance requirements.
- Market connectivity: Established partner network and close ties to the market across sales, purchasing, and operations.
Analytical mindset: Strong economic‑geographical understanding and ability to interpret product performance data. - Business‑fluent English: Confident communication with internal and external stakeholders.
