Plasmidsaurus is on a mission to accelerate new cures and promote a healthier planet by unlocking a new level of productivity for scientists. Our sequencing services are used daily by thousands of innovators, including Nobel laureates, Fortune 100 pharma, and over 70,000 scientists.

We began by revolutionizing plasmid sequencing, making it exponentially cheaper and faster, with innovative sequencing technologies and a global network of laboratories that turn samples into answers in hours, not weeks.

Now we are expanding that same disruptive model across all of genomics. With the launch of our new RNA-seq service, we are taking a bold step toward our vision to sequence everything, providing scientists everywhere with faster, simpler, and more affordable access to the data that powers discovery.

Every team member at Plasmidsaurus plays a crucial role in driving the future of biotech research. Together, we are building the world’s most efficient sequencing engine that operates overnight, scales globally, and helps scientists make breakthroughs faster than ever before.

Role Overview

Exceptional engineers rarely come through inbound applications. They come through relationships, trusted networks, and a strong reputation.

Plasmidsaurus has built an exceptional engineering team through referrals, relationships, and highly selective hiring. We're looking for a technically-oriented to help turn that advantage into a durable talent engine.

In this role, you'll identify outstanding technical talent before we need it, build relationships that last for years, and help ensure Plasmidsaurus is known by the engineers we'd most want to hire. You'll partner closely with engineering leadership to understand what great looks like, map the talent landscape, and create networks that compound over time.

Success isn't measured by outreach volume or pipeline size. It's measured by whether we know exceptional people before anyone else does, whether they take our call when the time is right, and whether those relationships become the foundation of future hires.

What You'll Do

Find Excellent People We Don't Already Know

Partner with engineering leaders to understand what exceptional looks like and find people we would never meet through inbound applications, traditional recruiting channels, or existing networks.

Map the companies, teams, and communities producing exceptional engineers and build targeted strategies to reach them.

Build Relationships Before We Need Them

Develop relationships with exceptional technical talent long before a role exists.

Stay connected through conversations, introductions, referrals, events, and communities so that when hiring needs emerge, we're building activating via relationships rather than starting from scratch.

Expand Our Talent Network

Continuously grow Plasmidsaurus' reach into engineering communities, open source ecosystems, startup networks, and other places exceptional builders spend time.

Help make Plasmidsaurus known by the people we'd most want to hire.

Create Talent Advantages That Compound

Build systems, workflows, talent maps, and sourcing approaches that become more valuable over time.

Use automation, AI, and creative research methods to increase leverage, improve outcomes, and strengthen our understanding of the market.

Expected Outcomes

  • We know exceptional engineers before we need them.

  • Engineering leaders have access to talent they would not have found through traditional recruiting channels.

  • We can activate trusted relationships when critical hiring needs emerge.

  • Our talent network generates introductions, referrals, insight, and future hiring opportunities.

  • We have a strong understanding of where exceptional talent comes from, where it's going, and what it cares about.

  • Engineering leaders use market insight to make better hiring decisions.

  • Exceptional engineers know who we are, understand what we're building, and see Plasmidsaurus as a place to do meaningful work.

  • Multiple hires can be traced back to relationships built months or years before an opening existed.

  • Every search, conversation, referral, and hire strengthens our ability to attract exceptional talent in the future.
