Role
As a Business Developer Director in Life Sciences you will lead the business development activities and act as the first point of contact for customers, partners, new joiners and public authorities. At Visium, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth and shaping enterprise-level AI & Data strategies within the Life Sciences sector. Responsibilities
As a Business Development Director in Life Sciences, you will:
Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth:
- Lead the identification, engagement, and acquisition of new enterprise clients in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medtech, and healthcare organizations.
- Develop and execute strategic outbound initiatives, including executive-level networking, thought leadership engagements, and targeted outreach campaigns.
- Qualify and prioritize opportunities to align Visium’s AI & Data capabilities with client business objectives.
Solution Discovery & Client Alignment:
- Conduct discovery meetings with C-level and senior stakeholders to understand critical business challenges, regulatory considerations, and innovation priorities in life sciences.
- Shape tailored proposals and presentations that demonstrate how Visium’s solutions accelerate R&D, optimize operations, and improve patient outcomes.
Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful execution of client projects and measurable impact. - Maintain deep knowledge of the Life Sciences sector, including trends in AI, data analytics, digital R&D, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Mentor and develop junior business development and client engagement professionals, fostering commercial acumen and domain expertise in life sciences.
- Drive a culture of collaboration across sales, delivery, and marketing teams to maximize client impact and market presence.
- Define performance goals, track progress, and share insights to optimize team effectiveness.
Market Expertise & Strategic Insights:
- Maintain deep knowledge of AI & Data platforms, cloud infrastructure, data engineering best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing thought leadership and strategic insights that shape long-term technology partnerships.
- Collaborate with marketing and delivery teams to design targeted campaigns, proposals, and solution offerings tailored to platform engineering challenges.
