The Opportunity
We’re working with a well-established and growing contractor who is looking to bring in a Trainee Estimator / Estimating Assistant as part of their long-term growth plans.
This is an excellent opportunity for either:
- A graduate / HND / HNC-qualified candidate looking to start a career in construction/commercial roles
or - A bright, proactive individual currently on the tools who is looking to step into an office-based position
You’ll be trained from the ground up, working closely with an experienced estimating team and learning how projects are priced, scoped, and won.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with the preparation of estimates and tenders
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Supporting with take-offs and cost breakdowns
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes
- Helping build accurate project pricing and proposals
- Working closely with senior estimators and commercial staff
