Lyra is at the forefront of increasing access to evidence-based, efficacious mental health services on a large scale. We are seeking a highly skilled licensed psychologist with exceptional clinical expertise, writing skills, and content development experience who is passionate about developing client-facing materials (articles, quick tips, short psychoeducational videos, etc.) that teach evidence-based mental health skills. This role is centered on the development, management, and innovation of our digital self-care/prevention offering. Strong training, direct experience, and expertise in promoting individual and family well-being (kids, adolescents, parents, etc.) is required. This role will also support the development/refinement of Lyra’s AI tools, applying clinical knowledge and expertise to ensure AI’s safety and effectiveness.
You will be part of a highly skilled, creative, and collaborative team with an established track record for developing effective and engaging digital clinical materials on emotional wellness and psychotherapy skills. By directly reaching tens of thousands of clients, your work on self-care materials and AI tools will help create meaningful positive change on a large scale.
Responsibilities
Develop high-impact self-care resources: Review the evidence-base, write, and integrate significant feedback to create engaging resources, including articles, storytelling, short videos, quick tips, and exercises.
Create customized content for key populations: Develop tailored resources for special populations, conducting qualitative research (e.g., surveying providers) to enhance clinical value for our diverse member base.
Contribute to member outreach: Collaborate with Marketing teams on monthly campaigns, provide clinical review, and represent the clinical perspective in strategy discussions.
Support AI tool development: Contribute to clinical AI tool development and refinement, including testing, quality assurance monitoring, and writing gold-standard responses and dialogues to ensure safety and clinical effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with Product, Design, and other teams at Lyra on self-care initiatives.
Contribute to self-care innovation: Track emerging trends and research in the self-care landscape to inform and propose ideas to increase engagement and clinical value, including reviewing sources of content to consider licensing.
Provide internal training: Develop and deliver trainings for internal teams to support dissemination of self-care resources across Lyra.

Qualifications
PsyD, PhD in Clinical or Counseling psychology
Fully licensed psychologist with 2+ years of primarily full-time direct clinical experience post-licensure
Excellent writing skills with demonstrated writing/content development experience; passionate about developing client-facing materials that teach evidence-based mental health skills to clients on a large scale
Excellent training in and experience delivering evidence-based treatments (e.g., ACT, MBCT, MBSR, CBT, DBT, IPT, EFT), wellness interventions, and safety risk assessment and management
Ability to apply experience with case conceptualization, treatment planning, and curriculum development to wellness programming
Training and experience teaching skills groups directly to clients (DBT, CBT, MBSR)
Experience as a mindfulness trainer/practitioner is preferred
Experience providing evidence-based care for parents, adolescents, and/or children is preferred
Strong training in and experience providing culturally responsive care is preferred
Experience in mental health promotion/prevention interventions is a plus
