The Email Marketing Specialist is a hands-on execution role within the Growth Marketing function, responsible for building, configuring, and deploying email communications across campaigns, lifecycle programmes, brand activity, and other business-initiated sends.
The postholder works closely with the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to translate lifecycle programme requirements into email touchpoints, and acts as the primary point of contact for email build requests from campaign, brand, and other teams across the business. This is an operational role at the centre of Civica's email production workflow: setting up emails correctly in the marketing automation platform, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met before every send, tracking and reporting on performance, and advising colleagues on email best practice. The role requires technical accuracy, strong attention to detail, and a practical understanding of what makes email communications effective in a B2B environment.
As an Email Marketing Professional, you will be responsible for building and configuring email campaigns across lifecycle touchpoints, events, nurture sequences, and ad hoc requests, ensuring each is tested and approved before deployment. You’ll interpret briefs with the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager, manage the production queue, and act as the operational contact for email builds. Your role includes conducting thorough pre-send quality checks, monitoring performance metrics, maintaining list hygiene, and advising stakeholders on best practices. Additionally, you’ll support the transition of Civica’s marketing automation platform, documenting workflows and rebuilding templates while maintaining business-as-usual activity.
