The Role

This is a 12m FTC maternity cover and is a high-impact, high-trust role at the heart of Environment Bank's leadership. As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will be the CEO's strategic partner in managing their time, priorities, and external relationships. You will act as a trusted gatekeeper and enabler — ensuring the CEO is focused on the decisions and conversations that matter most, and that the organisation moves efficiently around their leadership.

This role demands someone with exceptional judgement, absolute discretion, and a proactive mindset. You won't just manage a diary — you'll anticipate needs, solve problems before they arise, and ensure the CEO is always prepared, organised, and supported.

In addition to this, you will need to manage the diaries and travel arrangements for our Chief Nature Officer (CNO) and our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

  • Manage the CEO's inbox, flagging urgent matters
  • Manage a complex and fast-moving diary, including scheduling internal and external meetings, speaking engagements, travel, and board commitments for the CEO, CNO and CMO
  • Act as the first point of contact for the CEO's office — handling correspondence, fielding requests, and prioritising effectively on their behalf
  • Prepare briefing notes, agendas, presentations, and background research to ensure the CEO is fully prepared for all engagements
  • Draft and edit communications on behalf of the CEO, including emails, letters, and stakeholder correspondence

Board & Governance

  • Coordinate and support Leadership Team meetings and Board meetings, including preparing board packs, managing minute-taking, and following up on actions.  Not an urgent need for the EA to attend in person
  • Maintain governance documentation and ensure compliance with company secretarial requirements in collaboration with the wider leadership team

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including investors, government contacts, partners, and media
  • Represent the CEO's office with professionalism and warmth at all times

Operations & Projects

  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to facilitate cross-functional coordination and ensure key priorities are delivered
  • Coordinate logistics for leadership offsites
  • Manage expenses, invoices, and financial administration relating to the CEO and the CNO
