As our next Financial Settlement Controller, you'll own the reconciliation of Qonto's Core Banking System (CBS) transactions during a defining moment: our transition from Payment Institution to fully licensed Credit Institution. You'll partner with Roberta, our existing Financial Settlement Controller, and connect daily with Treasury, Bank Operations and Ledger to keep money moving accurately across the business.

You'll report to Garance Ricou, our Lead General Accountant.

➡️ What you'll do

  • Build the SAP reconciliation engine: Configure and run reconciliation workflows in SAP for CBS transactions across CB, SWIFT, SDD and card payment rails.
  • Own end-to-end CBS reconciliation: Drive the full cycle, coordinate with Treasury, Bank Operations and Ledger, and resolve second-level discrepancies directly with them.
  • Monitor internal, suspense and operational accounts: Track openings and closures of internal bank accounts, and prevent backlogs through structured prioritization — no matter the volume pressure.
  • Contribute to the new ERP rollout: Support Finance in defining the accounting allocation rules of CBS transactions as part of our ERP project.
  • Be the finance reference for operational changes: Any product launch, new banking partnership or regulatory change impacting the CBS lands on your desk first.

➡️ What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in banking reconciliation: Hands-on experience reconciling banking transactions in a regulated environment — not generalist accounting.
  • SAP / ERP implementation: You've configured reconciliation processes in SAP, not just operated a finished system. You can speak to a project where you set the rules.
  • Payment systems fluency: Working knowledge of CB, SWIFT, SDD and card payment rails. You understand what flows through each and where reconciliation usually breaks.
  • Build mindset: You're at ease in an environment where processes don't yet exist. You'd rather design and document a clean process than inherit one.
  • Languages: Fluent English for cross-team coordination. French strongly preferred for our French banking environment and partner interactions.

➡️ What we can offer you

  • A defining moment to join: You'll build the reconciliation processes that will run Qonto's future bank, not maintain processes that already exist.
  • A small team with real ownership: You'll partner directly with Roberta on the operational side and sit at the heart of how money moves across Qonto — with Treasury, Bank Operations and Ledger on speed dial.
  • Tools that matter: SAP for reconciliation, our Core Banking System, and the live payment rails (CB, SWIFT, SDD, cards) running our customer transactions.
  • Cross-functional exposure: A direct interface with Product & Tech whenever an operational change (product launch, banking partnership) hits the CBS — you'll see how a bank's reconciliation engine connects to its core systems.

➡️ Your future manager

Your manager will be Garance Ricou, our Lead General Accountant.

  • Her path? Garance built her accounting foundations in private banking at UBS, where she managed accounting teams and complex financial projects before joining Qonto.
  • What can she bring to the team? Garance leads with autonomy and structured problem-solving. She sets direction, shares what she knows, and trusts you to execute — with real ownership of your scope.
At Qonto, we understand that true diversity isn’t just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist. Apply regardless of the boxes you tick — who knows? You may have the missing piece of the puzzle we’ve been searching for all along.
