Greenvolt Power Spain is looking for a PV & BESS Engineer who will be a direct contributor to the correct design of Greenvolt projects footprint in Europe by actively participating in the design supervision and design of large-scale renewable PV & BESS energy projects.

Key accountabilities
 

  • Support PV and BESS projects across the full project lifecycle, including development, conceptual/basic engineering, technical due diligence, tendering, detailed design review, construction support and COD. 
  • · Prepare and review technical documentation for RFQ/RFP processes, including scope of works, technical specifications, basic engineering inputs, design assumptions, project interfaces and minimum technical requirements for PV and BESS projects. 
  • Participate in the technical evaluation of EPC, BOS/BOP contractors and main equipment suppliers, including review of technical offers, clarification meetings, tender comparison, risk identification and technical recommendation of preferred solutions. 
  • Review conceptual, basic and detailed engineering prepared by contractors, designers and OEMs, ensuring compliance with project requirements, permits, grid connection conditions, applicable standards, HSE/Quality requirements, construction feasibility, budget and schedule.  
  • Review key technical documentation from main PV and BESS equipment manufacturers, including modules, inverters, trackers, transformers, switchgear, batteries, PCS, EMS/PPC/SCADA and other relevant plant systems. 
  • Support the technical review of EPC, BOS/BOP contracts and main equipment supply agreements, identifying technical gaps, exclusions, interface risks, warranties, performance requirements, delivery obligations and responsibility limits. 
  • Maintain technical discussions with contractors, consultants, designers and manufacturers, ensuring proper resolution of design issues, alignment of interfaces and clear follow-up of open technical points. 
  • Coordinate technical inputs with Development, Procurement, Legal, HSE, Quality, Resource Assessment, M&A and Construction teams, ensuring clear communication of risks, design changes, technical constraints and project decisions. 
  • Analyse PV layouts, BESS configurations, equipment selection, grid connection constraints and resource assessment inputs, proposing optimisations or alternative technical solutions where required.  
  • Provide engineering support during construction, reviewing contractor proposals, solving design-related issues and ensuring that works remain aligned with approved engineering, contractual requirements, applicable standards, schedule and budget.
