Rimkus is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Global Energy Services team. In this role, you will utilize your extensive knowledge of electrical systems and investigative skills to conduct forensic analyses, failure investigations, and provide expert consulting services. You will be responsible for performing detailed technical analysis, site inspections, and preparing comprehensive reports for clients across insurance, legal, industrial, and energy sectors.

This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects involving electrical system failures, equipment damages, power quality issues, and restoration designs following incidents such as fire, flooding, or operational malfunctions.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support project delivery, while contributing your expertise to solve complex electrical engineering problems and help clients make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead forensic investigations to determine the origin and cause of electrical failures, system malfunctions, and damages in industrial, commercial, and energy environments.
  • Perform site assessments and technical analyses of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, motors, controls, and renewable energy installations.
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports, technical evaluations, and expert opinions to support legal and insurance claims.
  • Develop restoration and repair recommendations, including design specifications and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with clients, attorneys, adjusters, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality service and clear communication.
  • Support mentoring and guidance of junior engineers and engineering staff.
  • Stay current with industry standards, codes, and best practices related to electrical engineering and forensic investigation.
