Your Role

As (Senior) Key Account Manager Italy within the Statista R Licensing team, you are the driving force behind growing our licensing business in Italy and across Europe, ensuring that award-winning companies leverage Statista's rankings and seals to amplify their brand credibility and market positioning.

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle for logo and study licenses in Italy and across Europe, from prospecting and discovery through proposal creation, negotiation, contracting, and renewal/upsell

  • Drive national and international licensing projects across rankings, awards, and multi-market initiatives, translating client needs into compelling commercial packages

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in existing and emerging European markets through multichannel outreach and creative go-to-market approaches

  • Build trusted relationships with C-level and senior decision-makers across Marketing, Communications, Employer Branding, HR, and Corporate Affairs

  • Collaborate with leading media partners (e.g., Il Sole 24 Ore, Corriere della Sera, Forbes, Financial Times) to co-develop activation concepts, align on partner requirements, and ensure excellent delivery for joint campaigns

  • Coordinate cross-functionally in a lean hierarchy: collaborate closely with sales ops, marketing, legal, and project teams to ensure smooth handovers, high-quality proposals, and reliable project execution

Your Profile

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in B2B sales, key account management, or business development

  • Strong track record in managing complex sales cycles and closing high-value deals across multiple markets and stakeholder groups

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, navigating multi-stakeholder processes

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to independently structure, price, and close deals while protecting brand and licensing standards

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach and a genuine drive to build and scale new business in growing markets

  • Experience working cross-functionally in international environments

  • Analytical and data-oriented, able to manage pipeline health, forecasting, and management with discipline

  • Full professional proficiency in Italian and English (additional European languages are a plus)
