The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer to build and scale mobile applications used in real-world robotics data capture and operational workflows.
This role is mobile-first but full-stack. You will work across React Native mobile apps, backend APIs, and web tools, while also contributing to native iOS functionality when needed.
You’ll own features end-to-end and help design systems that support high-reliability mobile data collection in real-world environments.
Responsibilities
Mobile Development
Build and maintain production mobile apps using React Native and Expo
Contribute to native iOS development using Swift when necessary
Implement performant mobile features involving camera, media capture, and device sensors
Optimize mobile reliability, performance, and offline capabilities
Full-Stack Development
Build features across mobile apps, backend services, and web interfaces
Develop backend APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
Build internal tools and interfaces using React / Next.js
Maintain shared logic and contracts across platforms in a monorepo
API & System Design
Design and consume scalable APIs using REST or tRPC
Implement strong validation, error handling, and type-safe contracts
Work with MongoDB and Prisma to build efficient data access patterns
Media & Data Infrastructure
Implement large media upload pipelines from mobile devices
Integrate with S3-compatible cloud storage
Build reliable upload flows using presigned URLs and resumable transfers
Production & Reliability
Ship production-grade code with strong testing and observability practices
Participate in release management, monitoring, and incident response
Improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability
Collaboration
Work closely with product, design, QA, and cross-platform engineering teams
Help shape architecture and engineering standards
Contribute to technical decision-making and mentorship
Qualifications
Required
Strong experience building production mobile apps with React Native
Proficiency in TypeScript across mobile, backend, and web
Experience building backend systems with Node.js
Experience building web applications with React / Next.js
Experience designing and consuming scalable APIs (REST or tRPC)
Experience working in monorepos with shared contracts
Experience with MongoDB, Prisma, or similar databases
Nice to Have
Experience with native iOS development (Swift)
Experience working with mobile media capture or large file uploads
Familiarity with S3-compatible storage systems
Experience building data-heavy or operational tooling
Experience in startup or high-ownership engineering environments
