We’re seeking a Sourcing Coordinator to provide essential support to the Sourcing team! The Sourcing Coordinator will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure product development, merchandising and sourcing timelines are met and delivery schedules are adhered to. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized and attentive to detail. The Opportunity

  • Collaborate with Sourcing & Production Manager to update various work-in-progress timelines
  • Manage purchase orders from placement to delivery, following up extensively with overseas vendors
  • Update the development, merchandising, and sourcing calendar and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor all delivery dates and implement time communication on delivery with relevant stakeholders
  • Support the Product team through the coordination of vendor meets and travel
  • Prepare and generate scheduled and ad-hoc reports, charts and other department materials
  • Follow up on all sample and development requests
  • Manage vendor communication and lead weekly calls with key vendors to review production progress and resolve open issues
  • Communicate any changes in timing to the Product team
  • Track and distribute samples
  • Ensure product/shipment tracker is accurate and up-to-date

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience with overseas sourcing, material sourcing, or product development is a strong asset
  • Diploma in Business Management, Fashion Merchandising, or related field is an asset
  • Knowledge of fabrics, techniques, and garment construction
  • Interest in sourcing, buying and/or inventory management in the apparel sector
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects and timelines

Compensation

  • Salary starting at $50,000 annually
