The role of Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing revenue across our events and marketing services in our insurance division. These include lead generation platforms, market leading media channels and bespoke video content. You will also be working on market leading events including the British Insurance Awards taking place at the Royal Albert Hall, and the Broker Expo, an exhibition held at NEC in Birmingham. In addition to selling on the biggest events in the insurance industry, there are also more targeted conferences and the flexibility to create and develop your own marketing and event solutions.
You are an action-oriented, results-driven, and credible commercial professional with a record of B2B sales, ideally in financial services. Your role will include managing an existing client base and securing new business, including new logos.
As a key member of the sales team the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of exceeding targets, of delivering creative and valuable solutions to their clients. Previous experience of media sales is important as we are looking for individuals who can accelerate the growth of our brands and customer base.
Key Accountabilities
- Implementing a sales strategy for your assigned client base
- Building a detailed understanding of the professional communities we serve, their needs, and how our solutions can meet those needs
- Working with the marketing team to diligently follow up on leads; turning leads into opportunities, and opportunities into sales
- Establishing and maintaining executive relationships with clients to become their trusted marketing solutions advisor
- Meeting and exceeding quarterly sales goals
