Job Summary

Our product, ShipLion, helps businesses optimize their shipping costs. ShipLion analyzes a business's shipping profile, negotiates world-class carrier contracts, and ultimately saves them money. We develop comprehensive negotiation strategies that encompass potential business expansion, package profiling, and sensitivity towards long-standing client-rep relationships. Our mission is to make sure the rates our clients achieve are unbeatable.

We are seeking a Carrier Rate Negotiation Specialist - US/EU to advise ShipLion on carrier contract negotiations. The ideal consultant will leverage deep market knowledge of rates, contract terms, and industry best practices to help ShipLion secure optimal terms for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise ShipLion on carrier contract negotiations within the US/EU market.
  • Leverage deep understanding of carrier rate structures and negotiation strategies.
  • Analyze client shipping profiles to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies to secure favorable contract terms for ShipLion clients.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes within the US / EU shipping landscape.
  • Provide expert guidance on contract terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with the ShipLion team to optimize the service offering and enhance client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Proven background working at a carrier with in-depth knowledge of their rate structures and negotiation practices.
    • Significant experience in carrier rate negotiation within the US / EU market.
  • Skills:
    • Deep understanding of US/EU carrier rate structures, contract terms, and industry best practices.
    • Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary of $100,00 per year.
