Role summary

The Data Analyst at CE will be responsible for analyzing, cleaning, building, and supporting scalable data products built on our large, alternative datasets. The ideal candidate is a quick study who can grok complex topics without much handholding. Creative and innately curious, they will chase down promising lines of analysis and dig into unexpected results, while always keeping the big picture goals in mind.

Your main responsibilities

  • Analyze a diverse array of large alternative datasets for insights and signal
  • Clean and add structure to semi-structured and unstructured data
  • Combine multiple datasets into predictive models
  • Design and build scalable data products in concert with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and Financial Analysts
  • Develop creative and intuitive ways to visually present data insights to clients
  • Investigate data anomalies and quality issues, from initial triage through root-cause resolution)
  • Develop and maintain a working understanding of how CE's data assets map to real-world behavior.)

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Interest in consumer and retail behavior across the globe
  • Ability to juggle multiple, rapidly evolving projects
  • Proficient using SQL to analyze and organize multiple large datasets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to readily translate between technical and non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of Python or other programming languages a plus
  • Experience in the following a plus:
    • data visualization tools 
    • alternative data 
    • DBT

Salary and Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is between $85,000 - $95,000 based on experience, with the opportunity for a performance-based bonus, company equity, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, flexible and generous time off, work-from-home flexibility, and subsidized health benefits.
