We also collaborate with partners on the development of TransCon-based products in other therapeutic areas and markets.
We are seeking a passionate Data Privacy Manager to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma Data Privacy team, you will play a crucial role in driving our global data privacy program with a particular focus on supporting our clinical trial set up. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.
You will be joining the Data Privacy team consisting of 2 colleagues, and report directly to the Senior Director Data Privacywho is based in Hellerup, Denmark.You will also be based in our Hellerup office. The Data Privacy team is part of the larger Compliance, Risk & Corporate Responsibility team consisting of 10 colleagues.
In this position, we look for a person with a real passion for data privacy who has all-round data privacy experience and who wants the opportunity to make a big impact in an exciting company.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Advice on and support all data privacy related matters with a specific focus on supporting our clinical trial set up from a data privacy perspective
- Carry out personal data mapping and conduct risk assessments such as DPIAs, TIAs and LIAs
- Collaborate with and advise the business globally on all data privacy issues to find operational solutions
- Establish and provide clear data privacy guidance and training throughout the organization
- Support the investigation, management and response to data privacy incidents and data subject requests to ensure a timely response
Qualifications and Skills:
You must have experience working with data privacy preferably in the bio/pharma/medical device industry.
You are likely to hold a relevant academic degree e.g. law and at least 2 years of experience of working within the pharma industry, preferably with data privacy related clinical trial experience.
Furthermore, you have:
- A keen eye for details and structure as well as the ability to follow through and finalize tasks
- An open mindset, well developed interpersonal skills and strong competences in project management and communication
- The ability for getting the organization involved in data protection and if you meet resistance when doing so, you rise to the challenge and see this as an opportunity to engage even further with the organization
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, and are enthusiastic, outgoing and thrive in an informal environment where you can structure, follow up and complete your own tasks.
