Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Field Technician to support hardware assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, refurbishment, and operational activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mechanical and electronic equipment, vehicle-mounted systems, and field support operations.

This role involves both in-house and on-site technical work, including equipment installation, repair, testing, and remote support for operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble hardware systems in workshop and field environments
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair hardware equipment and vehicle-mounted systems
  • Replace and maintain computer, camera, PCB, cable, and mechanical components
  • Perform refurbishment and maintenance of equipment and hardware parts
  • Support field teams remotely by guiding operators through troubleshooting procedures and system tests
  • Collect and document technical information during troubleshooting and repair activities
  • Support engineering and operational teams during testing and data collection projects
  • Prototype and test advanced hardware equipment, including cameras, geolocation systems, cables, and mechanical frames
  • Train technicians and operators on newly introduced hardware systems and operational procedures
  • Ensure proper handling and operation of tools, safety equipment, and workshop materials
  • Maintain accurate records using ticketing systems, spreadsheets, and internal communication tools

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • B.E. / B.Tech degree preferred
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in hardware operations, field support, or technical maintenance
  • Experience working with vehicle systems, electronics, or mechanical equipment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools and light power tools
  • Experience with hardware assembly, maintenance, and replacement
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and repair techniques
  • Basic automotive repair knowledge
  • Hardware troubleshooting and installation skills
  • Familiarity with vehicle parts, computer hardware, camera systems, and PCB components
  • Experience using ticketing systems, Gmail, Google Calendar, and spreadsheets
  • Understanding of wiring diagrams preferred
  • Electronics repair experience preferred
  • Basic Linux knowledge preferred
  • Forklift operation skills are considered an advantage
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
  • Proactive attitude with willingness to learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in rapidly changing operational environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to travel frequently, including on short notice
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one within six months
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate motor vehicles
