Role Objective:

We are seeking an ambitious, part-qualified Finance Professional (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) to join our team in a pivotal hybrid role. This position serves as the bridge between core financial accounting and strategic commercial analysis. The successful candidate will take significant ownership of the month-end close while contributing to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) workstreams. This is an ideal career step for a graduate with a strong academic record who is eager to transition into a role with tangible commercial impact and end-to-end process responsibility.

Responsibilities

Month-End Procedures:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, board slide creation, key balance sheet reconciliations and the preparation of journal entries.

P&L Analysis:

  • Investigating variances against budget and providing insights to budget owners and the senior finance team.

Business Partnering:

  • Create relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders around the business to gather relevant information and ensure accurate financial data and analysis.

Capitalised Development costs:

  • Maintaining the capex workbook, overseeing amortisation schedules and work with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure timecard accuracy.

Tax Compliance:

  • Assisting with VAT returns and ensuring compliance with UK statutory requirements.

Process Improvement:

  • Identifying and implementing efficiencies within the finance function, particularly around automation and reporting tools.

Audit Support:

  • Providing documentation and explanations for year-end audit queries.
