🌀 The Company

Filigran, founded in October 2022, stands out in the cybertech ecosystem for its commitment to revolutionizing cyber threat management with a proactive approach. Its mission is to develop innovative open-source solutions designed to anticipate cyber threats, identify security gaps, and strengthen organizational security posture.

Filigran solutions are now trusted by over 6,000 public and private organizations worldwide.

🎯 The Role

As a General Accountant reporting to the financial controller, you will play a key role in supporting accurate and efficient financial reporting. You’ll assist in taking over tasks from external accountants. You’ll support the full accounting cycle across multiple entities (both in France and internationally), helping ensure compliance with tax and reporting requirements.

This is a hands-on, analytical role that encourages a proactive approach to improving and automating accounting processes. It’s an opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic, fast-moving international tech company.

💼 Your Responsibilities

As a General Accountant, you'll be a key contributor to the day-to-day accounting operations, taking on increasing ownership of core processes while collaborating closely with the Financial Controller. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Daily Accounting Operations: Processing and reviewing accounting transactions (purchases, sales, bank transactions, etc.) and ensuring the accuracy of the AR and AP processes.

  • Account Reconciliation: Performing the reconciliation of accounts and accounting entries, ensuring completeness and accuracy across all entities.

  • Month-End and Year-End Closures: Contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings. Preparing balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules.

  • VAT and Tax Filing: Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax returns (VAT, income taxes, etc.) within deadlines, and progressively taking ownership of tax matters.

  • Audit Preparation: Supporting the preparation for internal and external audits, coordinating documentation, and responding to auditor queries.

  • New Entity Setup & Support: Contributing to the financial and accounting setup of new legal entities as Filigran expands internationally — including chart of accounts configuration, local compliance requirements, banking setup, and coordination with external advisors.

  • Process Improvement: Participating in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and tools, bringing ideas to enhance efficiency and compliance.

  • Team Collaboration: Working alongside the Senior Accountant and Apprentice Accountant, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive team dynamic.

🤝 Who You’ll Work With

You'll be a key member of a collaborative and high-performing finance function:

  • You'll report directly to the Financial Controller.

  • You'll work closely with teams across the company including HR, Sales, and Marketing to ensure accurate financial tracking and interdepartmental alignment.

  • You'll support coordination with external tax and accounting advisors when setting up and structuring new entities in new geographies.

  • You’ll be exposed to modern finance tools and an international, tech-driven environment.

🧬 Profile We’re Looking For

  • Education: Degree in Accounting or Finance (DCG, DSCG, Master’s degree, or equivalent)

  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in general accounting, ideally in a dynamic or growing company environment. Some exposure to multi-entity or international accounting is a plus.

  • Languages: Comfortable communicating in English in both written and spoken form.

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, good organization, and sound analytical thinking.

  • Mindset: Curious, dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable taking initiative within a structured framework.

  • Tools: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Odoo, Pennylane and NetSuite) and general office tools (Excel).
