The HR & Operations is at the heart of keeping StoryCo running smoothly: supporting both people and operations as the team continues to grow. This role owns key HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compliance) while ensuring daily operations and logistics are well-managed.
Working across teams, the role not only ensures things run efficiently but also helps identify gaps, improve processes, and build scalable systems for the next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities1. Human Resources (Core Focus)
Manage end-to-end recruitment (job posting, screening, coordination, offers)
Support onboarding & offboarding processes
Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
Handle probation reviews, confirmations, and employee lifecycle processes
Support payroll processing, reimbursements, bonuses, and attendance tracking
Coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payments
Manage and support HR-related legal and compliance processes, including labor contracts, insurance, personal income tax (PIT), and other statutory requirements
Liaise with external partners or authorities when needed (e.g., insurance providers, tax consultants)
Act as a point of contact for employee queries and HR-related matters
Support performance review cycles and internal communications
Contribute to building and maintaining company culture initiatives
2. Operations & Administration
Oversee daily office operations and ensure a smooth working environment
Coordinate with vendors, building management, and service providers
Manage devices, accounts, licenses, equipment, and other operational purchases
Track and maintain inventory of company assets (laptops, software, tools, etc.)
Manage internal policies, processes, and documentation
Support logistics for company activities, events, and team gatherings
Ensure compliance with company procedures and local regulations
3. Process Improvement & Scaling
Support Managers (Product, Production, Process Improvement) to identify gaps in current workflows and propose improvements
Help standardize HR and operational processes as the company grows
Support cross-team coordination (especially between production, product, and leadership)
Assist in setting up systems/tools to improve efficiency
2–5+ years of hands-on experience in HR Operations, HR Generalist, or HR & Admin roles
Proven experience handling payroll, attendance tracking, and employee lifecycle processes (contracts, onboarding, offboarding)
Practical experience supporting insurance, personal income tax (PIT), and basic HR compliance processes in Vietnam
Strong understanding of Vietnamese labor regulations and statutory requirements (at least at an operational level)
Strong English proficiency (all four skills; equivalent to IELTS 7.5+), with the ability to work directly with international stakeholders.
High level of ownership with the ability to manage tasks independently and follow through end-to-end
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-have
Experience working in a startup or fast-growing environment
Experience managing company assets, tools, accounts, and vendor purchasing
Exposure to HR systems, ATS, or internal process building
Experience working in creative, tech, or production environments
Comfortable working across both HR and operational responsibilities
