Our client is a fast-growing technology company building innovative digital products for a global customer base. As the business continues to scale, they are looking for an IT Engineer to establish and strengthen internal IT operations, ensuring employees have secure, reliable, and efficient technology support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and wants to play a key role in building IT processes and infrastructure within a dynamic startup environment.

What you will do:

  • Procure, configure, deploy, and maintain employee laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
  • Manage hardware inventory and asset lifecycle processes.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Provision and decommission user accounts.
  • Manage permissions across productivity platforms and SaaS applications.
  • Maintain role-based access controls and security best practices.
  • Manage office network infrastructure, including wireless networks, VPNs, firewalls, and switches.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure network reliability and security.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal IT support.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Deliver timely and effective technical assistance to employees.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint security measures.
  • Manage backup and recovery processes.
  • Support internal security policies and operational best practices.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, repairs, and support services.
  • Manage software subscriptions and licensing.

What you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT Support, IT Operations, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Experience managing user accounts and permissions within Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience implementing cybersecurity measures, MDM, or endpoint protection tools.
  • Familiarity with SSO and identity authentication integrations (e.g., Google SSO, SAML).
  • Basic scripting capabilities (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Experience establishing a company's IT systems, policies, or SOPs from 0 to 1.
  • Experience handling ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 27001) or other information security inspections/audits.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA, etc.).
  • Basic conceptual understanding of cloud services (AWS/GCP).
