About This Role:

At Crusoe, we move fast and build things. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of materials from our manufacturing shops to job sites. This full-time role is critical to our production process. You will be responsible for the preparation, packaging, and continuous improvement of all shipping activities for the products and parts we manufacture. The ideal candidate has proven experience in shipping and logistics, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. You will play a vital role in our daily operations, ensuring that the right materials arrive at the right place, on time.

 

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Shipping & Logistics: Collaborate with the transportation coordinator to follow the shipping schedule, identify opportunities for efficiency, and prepare and process all required documentation, including shipping invoices and packing slips. You will also coordinate and perform the loading of outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage.

  • Material Handling & Inventory: Inspect all incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality. You will be responsible for tagging all materials with the required information and using a pallet jack or forklift to move materials throughout the shop and load/unload delivery trucks.

  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Ensure all quality check sheets are completed to company standards before final packaging. You will photograph projects to create a quality history and document any damages, overages, or shortages. Your contributions will help the team update the status board and identify areas for improvement.

  • Leadership & Safety: Uphold Crusoe's relentless commitment to safety and adhere to all company policies and procedures. You will provide input to management regarding staffing and hiring decisions and actively participate in training new team members to foster a positive, team-oriented culture.

 

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or related role.

  • Technical Skills: Required forklift experience and the ability to use basic hand tools.

  • Personal Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy. You must also be a collaborative team player with a good attitude and a willingness to learn and improve.

  • Physical Requirements: The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. You must also be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use your arms and hands for a full workday.

  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and is located within a safety-sensitive facility. Active drug and alcohol program participation is required. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $21 -$26/HR + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. (#INDMFG)
