Role overview:

Provide onsite support for OT systems, including PLC, SCADA, communication modules, and related control systems. The role focuses on troubleshooting, incident resolution, system recovery, patching, backups, and compliant change execution in line with site QMS requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support onsite OT systems, including incident management, service requests, change requests, and problem management
  • Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, OPC/PI, and communication-related issues
  • Analyze PLC CPU and communication module diagnostic buffers to identify root causes
  • Resolve software, configuration, communication, firmware, and system-level issues
  • Coordinate OEM/vendor support for PLC and SCADA repairs, escalations, and technical support
  • Perform firmware, memory, and module health checks for CPUs, CP cards, and I/O modules
  • Support software, firmware, OS patching, and update scheduling in Inpat
  • Restore PLC and system communication through approved configuration changes, controlled restarts, or recovery actions
  • Trace I/O and field signals using E&I drawings, loop diagrams, I/O lists, and system documentation
  • Identify suspected field or electrical issues and escalate them to the appropriate teams
  • Perform regular OT system backups and support disaster recovery, business continuity, and data restoration
  • Maintain validated system baselines before and after corrective actions
  • Execute and document change controls according to site QMS
  • Maintain technical documentation, system records, backup evidence, and change documentation
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Automation, IT, Quality, Production, and external vendors
